JuzoJuzo has been Family-Owned With Pride Since 1912

From a small manufacturer’s shop in the back of a house to an international leader in medical compression therapy garments, we have grown with the times. How did we do it? Through product innovation, strong family involvement and a true passion for helping people. Founded in 1912 by Julius Zorn, Juzo has been pioneering technologically advanced compression garments for decades by gathering constant feedback from medical professionals and patients and applying that knowledge to create comfortable, effective garments.

At the heart of Juzo is: Annerose Zorn, matriarch and president (and great, great granddaughter of Julius), her daughter, Petra Zorn, vice president and her son, Walter Zorn, vice president of operations. Annerose’s spirit and vision have been the driving force behind the success of Juzo. Her uncompromising approach to making quality products comes from the understanding that most people who wear compression therapy garments have to wear them every day. Therefore, each garment must adhere to the three Juzo standards: comfort, quality and therapeutic effectiveness.

With manufacturing facilities in the United States and Germany, Juzo continues the tradition of making high quality products that help thousands of people feel better about their health and lives.

L&R looks back on more than 170 years of experience manufacturing top-quality dressing materials and medical devices. Despite our international outlook, we still have the values of a family-run company. The company’s vision for the future has grown out of its traditions: to shape the healthcare market by working with our customers to develop practical products with a focus on outstanding quality.

L&R does not consider itself solely a manufacturer and distributor but also as the preferred solution provider and a reliable partner for medical, patient care and hygiene products and services. We are always focussed on the needs of our customers and patients. In our networks and development centres we develop solutions and services the quality of which meets the high standards of those who have placed their trust in us. This quality and our knowledgeable employees form the basis of our lasting commercial success, we are well positioned to help people worldwide with this three-pronged approach.

Founder Vera Watkins Shares How Marena StartedMarena

Marena was born from an Olympians desire to heal faster and better and my desire to help others. Sewn passionately by me in the garage of my North Atlanta home, I discovered the amazing healing properties of comfortable targeted compression while collaborating with health professionals. Marena, named for our children Mark and Lena, has become a global leader in medical grade compression.

Marena was initially founded with the business model to re-sell compression products already available in the market. As a business owner, I could control my future and be able to take time for the important events in life while providing a high-quality product. Shortly after launch, I discovered that most fabrics used for compression were not comfortable and many of the styles were not constructed with comfort in mind. I will never consciously sell or produce something that I know is not comfortable or not the best it can be, so we re-evaluated our business model.

Within one year, we secured the required sewing and cutting equipment to produce garments with both comfort, and function in mind. Then in only two years, Marena had our first version of our revolutionary and proprietary fabric developed, which revolutionized comfort in compression. When combined with our proprietary pattern making and fit, we knew we had something special: a product that performed better than the industry.

PANDEREPandere was created because founder Laura Oden – and millions of people just like her – can't fit into regular shoes. She has had lymphedema for most of her life and people like Laura need shoes that accommodate two feet that aren’t always the same size. This can be caused not only by lymphedema but by a host of other conditions including pregnancy, diabetes, edema, bunions, and many more.  Pandere shoes expand in places that other off-the-rack shoes don't. With our patented expansion system, Pandere shoes are the world's first expandable footwear designed to give you the comfort and confidence you deserve.

We all hit the same wall when it comes to shoes. We understand how hard it is to find shoes that fit unique feet. People with conditions that cause foot and leg swelling can be on an endless search for a shoe that fits. We get it! Without shoes that fit, you’re relegated to less mobility, increased risk of abrasions, cellulitis and all kinds of discomforts or disasters. Our shoes are designed to expand in all the key places – toe box, midfoot, and ankle. Until now, people with medical conditions that impact shoe fit have been forced to buy shoes a size or two too big. This can lead to a domino effect of other problems. For us, a shoe that fits right, feels comfortable, and looks good is non-negotiable.
